Full-grain italian leather. Fiber structure intact, nothing sanded away to hide a flaw.

Bonded leather — compressed scraps, synthetic coating — is sold under premium language at every price point. Full-grain is different at a molecular level. The fiber structure is intact. It does not peel because there is nothing to peel from.
Same Italian origin. Same family atelier. What you are paying for above $135 is the name embossed on the hardware. If you want the logo, buy those. If you want the leather, this is it — at less than half the price.
Full-grain leather develops a patina with wear. The grain darkens along the fold. The cognac edge deepens. The belt takes on the character of the man wearing it. That is not a side effect — that is the point of buying leather once.
